- Hi all.
-
- I spent yesterday nite getting nntpd to run on my Amiga. Now I
- can connect and check the non-existent messages in e.g.
- comp.sys.amiga.programmer.
-
- Now I would have to get the mail somewhere. The docs just
- say "have yourself added to some list on your nntp host". Well,
- I am allowed to connect to a news server, but I guess that's
- about it.
- The docs further detailed two programs, the one non-working
- at the time of writing (working now?), the other from Michael
- van Elst slow, but working. Okay, I tried MvE nntpget, but
- I don't really know how to tell it to only get new news.
- I can provide a "since" option, but I thought that the nntpds deal
- with that, what do I need it for in the first place ? And where
- should I have nntpget put the news, or better, how do I
- feed it directly to nntpd ?
-
- I'm quite lost right now :-(
- If multiple people were so kind and help me, I'd post
- my (working) setup afterwards, to help others.
-
- Tom.
